Peak Climbing

Nepalese Himalya was major/prominent spot of peak climbings and expeditions since it was discovered as home to the world’s highests which was during the time of the beginning of the era of mountain expeditions.

Major expeditions were started somewhere around 1910s and got sparked after summiting the world’s highest peak Mt. Everest in 1953 by Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenjing Norgay Sherpa. Now mountaineers from around the world is rushing Nepalese Himalaya, racing to set different world records desiring of faming themselves.

Before launching full scale expeditions to highest peaks, warm up climbing were organized to test the limits, improve the skills, stamina by summiting the smaller peaks of below 6500m and finally attempting the full scale major world’s highest peaks. These smaller peaks of below 6500m is now called trekking peaks in Nepalese Mountaineering.

Only limited trekking peaks are opened and require special climbing permit.
