โIsland Peakโ 6160m also known as Imja Tse, name itself suggesting as it is in distinct location amongst the mountains. Proving itself isolated from other numerous mountains, climbing this particular mountain is always a climberโs/trekkerโs dream. Comparatively short and easy among all climbing peaks is technical at some places. But view from the top is undoubtedly incomparable and most beautiful. Climbing gives small taste of Tent Camping of Island Base Camp.
Everest Base Camp and Kalapathar trek is an excellent journey with time to marvel the beauty of the surrounding area and to merge in. Our climbing leaders will conduct training session covering on sharpening your basic climbing techniques & skills, techniques of perfect ascending and descending through fixed ropes and lines, demonstration showing the best way to use our peak climbing gears like harness, ice axe, crampons, climbing boots along with best use of rope and best suitable climbing techniques.
High Altitude Sickness or Mountain Sickness can affect anyone depending upon the place where he/ she lives or travelled. Generally after reaching above 2500 meters, its effects can be seen. Altitude Sickness affects people regardless of age, sex, and fitness. If you are showing signs of mountain sickness, since your safety is our first priority, we will facilitate you getting down as soon as possible.ย
We suggest prior to trekking to ensure you are in good health and have consulted with your GP. However, it is recommended prior to departing that walking training be done so you have the most enjoyable time while trekking. Please feel free to contact us.
Arrive in Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu; Welcome, Greetings and assistance, you'll be taken to your hotel. While in Kathmandu you will have time fascinating Buddhist and Hindu temples and shrines reflecting ancient local traditions are highlighted on our guided tour. There's time to explore the city's many charms on your own too. Short briefing session in the evening.

After breakfast, we'll visit
1) Pashupatinath temple โ regarded as the most sacred temple of Hindu Lord Shiva in the world with its astonishing architectural beauty, stands as a symbol of faith, religion, culture and tradition.
2) Swayambhunath Stupa โThe Most Enigmatic Holy Shrine situated on the top of a hill, west of Kathmandu, is one of the most popular, holy and instantly recognizable symbols of Nepal. The temple is colloquially known as the 'monkey temple' because of the large tribe of roving monkeys who guard the temple.
3) Kathmandu Durbar Square Listed as one of the eight Cultural World Heritage site by UNESCO, famous for Living Goddess Kumari, is a cluster of ancient temples, palaces, courtyards and streets that date back to the 12th and 18th centuries. The square is known to be the social, religious and urban focal point of the capital city. The palace complex was the royal Nepalese residence until the 19th century and is the site of important ceremonies, such as the coronation of the Nepalese Monarchy.

Breakfast and transfer to airport for flight to Lukla (2,840 m). Arrive Lukla after 45 minutes flight and meet with our porters & Sherpa teams. We trek downhill from Lukla to Phakding (4 hours trek) beside the Dudhkoshi River. Arrive Phakding (2610m) and overnight at Tea House lodge.
Breakfast, then trek to Namche also called Sherpa capital. Trek will take you approx. 6 hours. The trail climbs gradually following the river and enters the Everest National Park at Jorsalle, Then crosses the two river confluences one come from Thame and another from Namche. Place is with two spectacular high suspension .By crossing bridge will lead us to steep trek which will ultimately take us to Sherpa Capital Namche bazar(3440m). Tea break, Lunch will be served en- route. Dinner and Overnight at the Lodge.
Free day at Namche bazar. Day time can be hiked to Everest View lodge (3,800 m) โapprox. 3/4 hours walk. Also visit famous Khumjung village. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served at the Lodge.
The walk today is spectacular in terms of scenery, relatively easy day of trekking except feels tough on the uphill section while finally reaching Tengboche.
This main trail out of Namche heads in a northwesterly direction climbing steeply out of the town to a ridge crest where a wonderful view of Everest, Lhotse and Ama Dablam is revealed. High as above from river channel, continue trek will take us to small village settlement Kyangjuma. One can find the displays of various local art and crafts, yak bells, jewels to buy for the interested trekkers to take them home. Crossing suspension bridge over Imja River will take us to Our Lunch place located on the base of long ridge of Tengboche.
Trek from here is steep, heading to the top the ridge of Tengboche. Famous because of its Famous Tengboche Monastery which is one of the oldest and biggest in the area. Place is perfect ground for Everest/Lhotse massif view and Range of Ama Dablam. Further 20 minutes downhill walk through the dense forest, once can find place called Dibuche-Our Overnight Place for the day.
3hrs trek of river crossing and climbing up will take us to beautiful village Pangboche. Tea/coffee break will be exhaustion relieving. Further a hour trek will end us at the place called Somare-our lunch place.
From here another 2/3hrs gentle walk take us to Pheriche (4,280 m). Overnight at Tea house lodge.
Today is the free day for the acclimatization. They can hike Famous Nagarjung peak (5070m).
Hiking above five thousand meter and sleeping at Pheriche will be good acclimatization act for the better further trek to avoid Altitude sickness.
Trek to Lobuche (4,930 m) will give us the closest feels of Everest till now with glimpses of Khumbu Glacier and spectacular view point memorial ground.
From Lobuche, once can see Mt. Lhotse and other mountain of golden color in the morning/evening hit by Sunrise and Sunset with thousands of stars spreading throughout the sky during clear night.
We began our trek to Gorakhsep(5170m) along with Khumbu Glacier on our right hand side. While continuing our trek, have to cross many small segments of Glaciers with fully rocky ways for the final reaching of Gorakhsep. Gorakhsep is formally. Settled on the base of Kalapathar, Gorakhsep once was a yak herding meadow during the summer and is the last point of permanent settlement.
We trek further from Gorakhsep once our backpack is placed in the hotel at Gorakhsep. We trek through numerous tiny ridge crests at the beginning and on the Khumbu glacier during the final hikes to reach Base Camp (5364). Base camp is on above the Khumbu glacier so it changes its location every year. Even though place is noticeable every time because of its flags put by earlier trekkers. hour time is perfect for photographs and resting.
Back to Gorakhsep. Overnight.
Early morning climb Kalapatthar (5,545 m). Some of you may feel this two hours steep trek bit a challenging at the ends but the view seen from here will be finest and exhaustion relieving. Kalapathar is the closest and best place to observe best view of highest mountain ranges, Mt. Everest, Mt. Nuptse and many highest mountain peak. Capturing amazing views is good for anyone to see it in future.
Trek back to Gorakhsep. We will have breakfast and descend down to Lobuche (4,930M). Overnight at Tea house Lodge at Lobuche.
Trek downhill to Dingboche (4300m) with spectacular views of Southern Mountains including Ama Dablam. Further 2hours gentle upward trek will take us to the last village of Imja Region Chhukung. Climbing Skill training session and climbing gear information details.
We will be spending overnight at Chhukung for the day.
Morning breakfast and leave for Island Peak Base Camp (5087m). Mild ascending along with Imja River will lead us to the valley of Imja with Imja Lake surrounded by Mountains and Ama Lapcha pass. Our Base camp will be just beside of Imja Lake and Imja Tse 6189m (Island Peak).
As early as 3Am, we start our climb to scale the top of Island Peak. By 10AM, We will return back to camp, wrap up and descend down to Dingboche via Chhukung. Our Overnight halt for the day will be Dingboche (4300m)
In high mountain area like Island peak, weather is conditional. It may vary and become unfavorable anytime. This is contingent day for our most important Island Peak climbing trip if weather condition goes bad or other unanticipated reasons. If everything goes well and accordingly, will stick as per the planned itinerary.
We trek downhill passing remarkable Stupa on the bottom of the village, also passing through Pangboche. Also can see aside small but remarkable stupa on the way further down leading to the river. A 45minute up trek will end us to todayโs Overnight place Tengboche.
We trek downhill to the river crossing bridge and again ascend to halfway of the hill. Once up, gentle and sturdy path leads toward Namche. We further trek down to the place called Monju (2800m), Our Overnight place for the day.
Breakfast and start trek to Lukla. Today trek will be short, easy and small ascending. Once reached, relaxed at some of the local bars. Overnight.
Early morning walk to airport for flight to Kathmandu Arrive Kathmandu and check into hotel. Late afternoon visit Pashupatinath temple. Overnight at hotel.
Today you are free until transferred to International airport for onward flight.
